About Broei

BROEI is an open house. Selected organizations that work with young people between 16 and 30 years old will receive time, space, support and resources from May to November 2024 to DO, THINK, EXPERIMENT and CREATE together for six months. Crossover between participants is key at BROEI. Our guests learn from each other, inspire, undertake, stimulate each other and build a new collective story together. We work on three pillars:

Vision, mission & operation

All young people deserve an opportunity to explore and develop their talents and passions in a casual environment where diversity is embraced.Creating an open house with the Duivelsteen as a base, where young people between 16 and 30 years old can find, develop and explore their passions through a varied offering.

We make space available to young people and youth organizations. We provide them with tailor-made guidance so that they can grow during their time in Broei.Broei is a facilitator: we outsource what we can and provide a safety net.

We encourage internal collaborations between the organizations affiliated with BROEI and facilitate collaborations with outside partners. We allow constructive friction.

Broei.lab

Broei.lab is an accessible shared studio and safe creator space where young people can experiment with various forms of media and content creation: photography, film, music, storytelling, podcast, VR and radio.broei.lab wants to actively connect and motivate young people to express themselves through various creative media, at their own pace and driven by their own interest(s).

Finally, broei.lab provides a platform to step outside the safe space and community of broei.lab and also show their work to the general public.
