Gruis explores innovative uses for common urban waste streams. In this workshop, we use spent coffee grounds from surrounding restaurants to cultivate mushrooms in our specially designed growing setup at Broei. During this workshop we will explain how to grow oyster mushrooms on both straw and coffee grounds. If you would like to grow oyster mushrooms at home, please do bring along some plastic containers or buckets with lids. We will provide everything else you need.
